A Amount = B Amount + $1.40(0.5 × U) = (0.2 × 2U) + 1.4    (U is no. of coins)0.5U = 0.4U + 1.40.1U = 1.4U = 14---No. of 20 cents = 2U = 28 coins  (ans, a)Total money = (0.5 × U) + (0.2 × 2U)= (0.5 × 14) + (0.2 × 2 × 14)= 7 + 5.6= $12.60  (ans, b)
